What would cause my OneDrive to suddenly be processing over 40,000 changes?

I've noticed the same thing on both my desktop and laptop, no significant changes and I have over 200,000 files processing... lol
This is happening to this laptop right now - OneDrive is processing 235,000 changes and is only reducing by about 1 per 2 seconds. Given the date of the original posts, seems something is very up with OneDrive.
I came hear looking for an answer to the same question. Just logged into Windows 11 on both my laptop and desktop and OneDrive is processing over 40,000 changes on both of them. I can't tell what is actually happening, no massive change in my OneDrive Recycle Bin for instance. This is concerning.
