Hi,

At our University, staff and students use Panopto Video. Video is an important mode of delivery for both learning and assessment. We want to embed these within Microsoft products like Sway and PowerPoint. Since the option for direct video upload was removed, we now need to direct students to use and embed other tools like YouTube or Vimeo if they want to embed within Microsoft tools. This practice is not supported at our institution. When we try, we get an error message that Panopto is not supported.

How can we get Panopto whitelisted as a supported tool to make it easier for staff and students to add videos to Microsoft products please?

As per the detailed description and attached screenshot, I can understand the scenario you and your students are facing is that embedding Panopto Videos into Sway will get the yellow error message saying it is currently not supported this site.

In this situation, I have tried to search for you, and it seems like Sway currently only supports the listed sites following here: Embed content in your Sway - Microsoft Support while it seems like Panopto is currently not listed. And also I searched but sadly there has no such a whitelist feature in Sway.

However, I agree that it will be more user-friendly for customers requiring such various video resources to better collaborate within multiple contents into Sway. Given this situation, I sincerely recommend you use Feedback Community to suggest this feature limitation and add your valuable idea in the **** Sway · Feedback Community****which is the best place to share ideas directly with the product building team and improve the Microsoft Products.

Feedback submit by this way directly goes to the related team. This is the best way to let Sway development team aware of broaden the embedded supported resources and also know your requirements of Panopto Video to get considered into the updated resources.
