"We are sorry, but this feature is deprecated" (Smart Lookup on Word for Mac)

I just right-clicked on a word to use the "Smart Lookup" feature, and I received this message, "We are sorry, but this feature is deprecated." I am a current subscriber and logged in.

I appreciate your help!

As stated in this thread and elsewhere in the forums, Smart Lookup has been discontinued. The official notice is in the article at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/get-insights-into-what-you-re-working-on-with-smart-lookup-debf2083-5ac0-4739-8667-ae2467bec044.

    I'm thinking the same, and the advice we get from Microsoft is to report it officially, if they know about it, then they should fix it, or am I missing something.

    Mind toy Apple aren't much better, I've got an iPhone 16 pro which I was able to silence the phone keypad so that it doesn't make that annoying noise, but then the software was updated and now there's no way of silencing the phone keypad.

    That's good to know but it doesn't mean much if you don't identify the specific Version Number & type of License for your Office software. Please retrieve that information from Word> About Microsoft Word in the menu bar & include it in a reply here. It can make a significant difference.
