Sharepoint Navigation Tab

Hi, I need help creating a navigation tab with sub-links for a specific page in SharePoint. My goal is to add a navigation menu that applies only to this page and its content, not the entire SharePoint site. However, I am unsure how to configure this.

Problem Summary:

I want to create a navigation tab that appears on my SharePoint page, allowing users to access sub-links related to the page's content. I have explored the navigation settings but have not found an option to create a page-specific navigation menu.

Steps Taken:

  • Checked site navigation settings, but it applies to the whole site.
  • Looked into quick links, but they do not function as a proper navigation tab with sub-links.
  • Tried editing the page settings but couldn’t find a relevant option.

I would appreciate any guidance on how to accomplish this or if there is a specific feature that supports page-level navigation with sub-links.

Thank you for your help!

    Dear Sierra Samuel,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand that you want to create a navigation tab with sub-links specific to a single SharePoint page without affecting the entire site. You can add the Quick Links web part to your page and organize links as a menu.

    1. Create a Page, add content, click on the text which you want to add an anchor link, format it with Heading styles, such as H1, H2, or H3. Save and Publish the page.

    1. After it is published, you will find there is a link icon next to it when you move mouse near to it. Copy this link.

    1. Create a "Quick Links" webpart at top of the page, Click + Add a link and enter this URL. Name the link.

    Repeat for all sections.

Click the links on Quick links webpart will bring you to the right location.

Let me know if it helps or if you need further help.

    Best Regards,
