An integrated threat protection solution designed to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats across Microsoft 365 services.
Dear Jeff Barnett,
Thank you for sharing your question with the Microsoft community.
I understand that you are experiencing issues with not being able to set up Defender on your iPad, but you have a subscription and I understand your confusion and will do my best to help you troubleshoot.
In order to get a better idea of the status of the issue, I'd like to confirm some information with you first:
- Did you purchase your home subscription for Microsoft 365 from the official Microsoft website?
- Are you able to view the correct product status in the subscription screen of your Microsoft account? You can confirm this by clicking the link below and logging into your account: Microsoft account | Subscriptions
- Is your current device your own iPad or do you belong to an organisation?
- Did you install it on your iPad as described in this article? If there are some differences, we suggest you try the installation again to troubleshoot: Installing Microsoft Defender - Microsoft Support
Sincerely hope you can understand, as preliminary information may not give us a clear picture of the direction of the problem. You are welcome to contact us at any time if there is any progress.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Best Regards
