I am using MS Project 2013. When i insert the %work complete for individual tasks, the remaining tasks are not rescheduling. Can someone help me? I have already checked the "Updating Task Status Updates Resource Status" check box. I have assigned resources to each task. I have checked resource availability in my calendar, etc, but still it is not rescheduling.

    Ermias Alemu

Someone can certainly help if you provide enough information.

Doing things at random in the desperate hope that you will somehow snag a correct result will not work and will probably make the problem (whatever it is) worse, as you have probably already discovered.

Your question is vague, and does not provide enough information for anyone to know what is going on. Rather than me or anyone trying to guess what is going on, it would be better, ie would waste less time and be more likely to yield a solution, if you can provide more information and be more specific.

I could run through a checklist of questions, such as "are the tasks all auto or manually scheduled?" and "have you set a status date?" and "have you seen the tracking table?", Alternatively, or additionally, I could suggest running a search in the forum for the key words in the question, such as "how to track and update progress" and that will yield hundreds of questions and correct answers. A screenshot would help a lot.

    Dear Ermias,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community. We are here to assist you

We apologize for the inconvenience you are facing with syncing Microsoft Forms responses to Excel. To assist you more effectively, we need some additional information. Could you please provide the following details:

    1. Have you checked if there are any task constraints like "Must Start On" or "Must Finish On" that might be preventing the tasks from rescheduling?
    2. Are the dependencies between tasks set correctly? For example, if a task is dependent on another, is it rescheduling based on the completion of the predecessor task?
    3. Have you tried using the "Reschedule uncompleted work" feature?
    4. Is the "Split in-progress tasks" option enabled in "File" > "Options" > "Schedule"?
    5. Are your tasks set to "Auto Scheduled" rather than "Manually Scheduled" in the Task Mode column in the Gantt Chart view?

Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Have a great day and take care! 😊

    Sincerely,

    Naren | Microsoft Community Moderator
