I am using Excel, latest version for Mac, 16.93.1 (25011917), and following a recent update either to 16.93 or 16.93.1 I have systematically an error message if I interrupt a calculation : "Excel ran out of resources while attempting to calculate one or more formulas. As a result, these formulas cannot be evaluated." after this error I must always quit excel and restart which is very annoying. Anyone having the same issue ?

Actually, what I found is that after setting NumDays = 20000, it would trigger the error.
Then I lowered to 50, and the message did not appear.
But then if I set to 500, the message would trigger again.
So definitely, it seems that once the resource threshold is exceeded, Excel is left in a broken state
It is also important to emphasize another faulty behavior of Excel: if you start a calculation that lasts at least a few seconds and interrupt it (by selecting a cell in the current sheet for example, or by pressing the Esc key), then Excel will display this message "... run of resources...", and will then remain in a broken state. This happens EVEN IF the calculation would have been performed correctly if it had not been interrupted, leaving Excel in a non-broken state.
Posting these clues and behaviors in the forum is great, but PLEASE be sure to send those same comments to Microsoft by using the Menu Bar and choosing Help > Feedback > Report a problem. Microsoft does not monitor the forum, but the do read every problem report sent to them via this procedure.
Thanks Jim, I did report the issue early February to Microsoft with a sample file for them to reproduce it, but haven’t heard of a resolution so far.
