I do not want to lose Publisher! My entire business is based on Publisher files that I need to get back into to edit. I have thousands and thousands of documents that would need to be converted if Microsoft gets rid of Publisher. I love the program for creating my products.

I have continued to use Microsoft Expression Web for years now even though Microsoft no longer supports it. So I cannot see why It can't be the same for Publisher which I want to go on using.

I appreciate the many responses regarding this issue. I am in my early 80's and still very actively creating with Publisher. But I am no longer interested in learning alternatives to what has served me so well for so many years. It seems that Microsoft is abandoning me, and so many like me, by making the hundreds of thousands of Publisher files we have produced over the years inaccessible for editing and re-use. I will gladly pay for a so-called "sunset" version of this invaluable application, even if Microsoft is no longer willing to support it. (By the way, in my decades of using Publisher, I can't recall a single instance of needing after-sale support.) C'mon, Microsoft! Don't become too big and powerful to care about your longtime, little-guy users.

Yes - we want a "sunset" edition of Publisher for all the loyal users of this Microsoft software (been using it for quarter of a century)

Publisher is being removed from the Microsoft 365 subscription in October 2026. As of March 2025, the plan is to remove it from computers that have the subscription. (This may change.)
It only applies to the Microsoft 365 subscription. Office 2021 and older are not affected. Note: Publisher is not in Office 2024.
If you have Office 2021 or older, Publisher will not be removed. Microsoft is considering options for people who are using Publisher.
