I don't want to use the copilot features that have automatically been added to my Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.) - and I feel that this should be something that we are able to do, without having to purchase a subscription to copilot and then disable it.
How can I disable these features, to stop the shadow offer to use copilot on every new line I start on a word document and remove the icon from the tool bar?
This should be something that is an optional add on, rather than a mandated installation.

I'm getting real tired of all these apps and software companies adding new things to basic programs and then I have to jump through a ton of hoops to disable or delete them.

The ONLY thing that works is reverting to the old version. Holy ****. I've been using Word for decades, I'm up against a deadline, and this absolute BS is what's FINALLY going to get me to use something else.
Do you know how stupid it is to be this complicated to turn something off?
It should just be... open Word > Preferences > CoPilot > deselect "Use Co-Pilot.'
