I don't want to use the copilot features that have automatically been added to my Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.) - and I feel that this should be something that we are able to do, without having to purchase a subscription to copilot and then disable it.
How can I disable these features, to stop the shadow offer to use copilot on every new line I start on a word document and remove the icon from the tool bar?
This should be something that is an optional add on, rather than a mandated installation.

This is a situation that was changing on an almost daily basis as these were being posted.
This 3 month old thread already has been hijacked dozen's of times. It is rife with misinformation, outdated information, unrelated insertions & me too interjections. It's possible that your concern has been addressed somewhere within the thread but unless you've taken the time to read all 116 messages you'll never know.
For focus on your concern please submit a New Message stating all particulars relative to the issue, including macOS version number, Office version number & type of License as well as a complete description of the problem. In that way you'll receive responsible replies based on current information specific to your situation.

I had to upgrade to Sequoia before I could find Copilot in Settings om my Imac and Macbook Pro.
Apparently you did not reply to a specific message so it is unclear which instructions you're referring to. This thread already has been hijacked several times.
