Whatever.... I'm taking my computer back to where I bought it to see if he can resolve the problem. This conversation is not helping. If he can't help me then I'm going to someone else until I can get this solved. I am now completely locked out.

Which book would that be? I myself have authored or coauthored four or five books on Access. Scott has written at least one Access book. I know of several dozen other Access books....

The problem with that icon on your desktop is not an Access problem; it's related to the way the icon was created. We don't know how you created it, or whoever created it for you did it. Therefore, we can't answer that question.

I don't think the data was compromised. I really think the issue is inexperience.

What you guys aren't getting is somehow and I'm no expert but the data was compromised when I moved from Works it to Access. I have over a 1,000 entries. I'm not going to re enter that much data.
