Custom shows in PowerPoint Mobile

I have a deck with a menu slide linking to various custom shows. Included on the slides in these shows is a home button using an "end show" action. In the desktop version, this allows the presenter to end the custom show early and return to the menu. But in PowerPoint Mobile, this action ends the entire slideshow instead of just the custom show, and kicks the user back out to edit mode.

Is this a known bug, or simply missing functionality? I've tried other solutions but they won't work for various reasons (eg, disabling advance on click transitions and only using nav buttons also disables slide builds that advance on clicks. And replacing the "end show" action with a direct link to the menu slide creates a tangled mess of custom shows that are never "ended", etc).

For now I've made a version that repeats the menu slide in between each section which gives the navigation I need, but it's inelegant, time consuming to update, and increases the chances of revision errors, so I don't love giving that solution to my client. Any insights or thoughts?

PowerPoint Mobile is developed based on mobile, and it is true that many features are not as powerful as the client side.

After my testing, in PowerPoint Mobile, in terms of customizing the operation of the show and the “End Show” feature, in the mobile version, this feature causes the entire show to end and return to edit mode. This is more of a feature limitation of the mobile version than a bug.

This issue seems to be due to the simplified design of the mobile version, which does not fully implement the same customized projection controls as the desktop version.

Unfortunately, there is no effective solution to this design-level problem that we as community support staff can offer.

The best approach would be to bring this issue back to the PowerPoint team so that they can improve it in a future update. Thank you for your support and feedback!
