I just swapped out my cpu, my previous chip had died and just received my replacement, both 5950x, Upon boot I received " New cpu installed, fTPM/PSP NV corrupted" and it asked me to reset, which I did, now im receiving the following error:

Evidently this issue has been resolved with the latest Dev-Build update (yesterday, Monday, Nov 15, 2021). I run Insider Editions therefore I cannot validate since I'm generally several days behind the Dev-Build OS updates. None-the-less, I wanted to share this information. The individual who posted did not indicate what the Dev-Build number is. Be patient is all I can say.

I installed Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.22499.1010 (rs_prerelease) and tried it. Scep amd-keyid errors gone yes. But I'm still experiencing crashes in Red Dead Redemption. Windows Event viewer no longer has previous scep errors. There are no errors with the crashes I've had after the update either. I need to test more.

I wanted to provide some insight and hopefully some useful links. I troubleshooted my pc as much as I possibly could. I do not remember exactly when the the problem started but I do remember I was trying to fix an issue while playing CODMW. The game would suddenly crash every now and then. It would allow me to play a few hours sometimes so it wasn't so bad. But at times the game would crash pretty quickly or when in an intense situation so I decided I wanted to address it. I started troubleshooting the issue. I reinstalled drivers, clean OS install, game scan/repair, updated the bios, upgraded memory, and messed with some backend game settings. After reading a ton of articles regarding this issue I am under the assumption that Microsoft has to issue an update to fix this issue, or has someone found the solution?

Today I will be reseating the graphics card, cpu and rolling back the BIOS but I highly doubt this will solve the issue. My last option is to upgrade the CPU.

So i started getting this error after upgrading from the 2700x to the 5950x, It seemed to crash my pc every few hours but I stopped it from crashing by running OneDrive. Now every time i try to open the hideout in Tarkov it crashes everytime. Not sure what the issue is but it never happened on my old CPU.

I ran down this issue for some time. This is a follow-up to my resolution. The issue was the result of my graphic card driver was not up-to-date. ASUS PRIME x470-PRO (mobo), BIOS Ver. 5861, AMD Ryzen 5 2600x, NVIDIA GeForce GT1030. I purchased my GT1030 from Gigabyte. The correct driver was recently (Dec 15, 2021) updated on Gigabyte website. Since installation of the up-to-date graphic card driver, the issue has been resolved - complete attestation, no TPM SCEP Certificate enrollment error w/ Evend ID 86 i.e. complete resolution.

NOTE: Double-check ALL h/w drivers not simply via Windows Update, double-check all h/w drivers from the device manufacturer where you purchased the h/w device - this is critical. Good Luck.

I found a temporary fix , whenever you go into the bios and boot from there this error occurs , so just shutdown your pc and do a normal boot by pressing power key ,it doesn't cause this issue

Its October 26,2022 and this problem still happening! What are they doing?
I have tried to update my BIOS supposedly for this TPM fix and it still doesn't work Im stil getting Critical Process Died with this event SCEP Cert enrollment initialization b.s everytime I launch a game! I have reset and performed clean windows install 2x i have updated all drivers i have benchmarked all hardware everything passed i took my tower to microcenter for them to only charge me 250$ for something that they couldn't fix. This is just it, when i upgraded to Windows 11 which i fully regret now. what a dumb update man. did anyone figure out a complete true fix for this? or should i just go back to windows 10 where everything was running smoothly?

I have AMD "Ryzen" 7 5800x
Tuf RTX 3080.
Im giving up with Microsoft man.

All I can say is I was getting those TPM errors in Windows 10 also. I turned TPM off in BIOS settings and have kept the BIOS firmware up to date (Asus) and I stopped getting those errors.
For Windows 11 users that have TPM embedded on the MoBo they (MS) seemingly have not worked out all the bugs and as usual all you get on the forum is the same generic answers that we all know by heart.

It is 20 Nov 2024 & this problem is still around. Unbelievable! My system crashes randomly & the event. AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core and Win 11 Pro V 24H2.

I have been experiencing the same issues as everyone else in this thread, on Win 10, ASROCK mobo, Ryzen 5 chip etc.

Everything was working fine prior to enabling fTPM in the BIOS. Now the machine crashes within 5 mins of boot.

Yesterday in desperation I shifted to the insider Beta channel and upgraded to Win 11.
The error is no longer output to the log, however crashing is still frequent, with the machine failing to successfully dump any errors when it crashes now.

My only hope at this point is for the machine to be stable long enough to install the dev release, and hope like hell that this fixes my problems. Will update here if this proves to be the solution.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know

I'd recommend to clean install Win 11. That should fix the permanent crashes. Upgrades are tricky.

Successfully updated to Insider dev release 22504.rs_prerelease.211112-1650, process was very painful:

Crashes seem not to happen when not connected to the internet, so was only able to get through the first part of installation by disabling wifi while the initial installing portion happens prior to restart.

Had to enable wifi during the restart part of installation otherwise the installation will not successfully complete

Had another crash midway through restart installation with wifi on, however it managed to go through successfully.

System appears to have stabilised now, with no crashes since updating to the dev preview version so far...
Will update if issue re-appears, but seems resolved now.

Update: Still crashing from time to time, but definitely not as frequently as before. Progress?
Will look at reinstalling windows to see if I can get error dumps to work...

The crash should not be happen without connection, because the certificate that causes the most of the mentioned crashes in this topic can only be requested while connected to the internet. So regardless LAN or WiFi it was expectable to happen.

But good to hear that atleast the crashes are not that frequently as before.
You can try sfc or dism-commands before reinstalling, if reinstalling is not a good option for you.

Additionally as mentioned in my previous comments try to disable the AikCertEnrollTask in Task Scheduler

expand Task Scheduler -> expand Microsoft -> expand Windows -> click CertificateServicesClient -> disable the top one named AikCertEnrollTask. I highly recommend just to disable the task, do not delete it. Do not try to export and reimport (this can cause problems too, just disable it!)

Sorry to hear this. unfortunatelyI can't provide any more advice. Maybe try delete TPM2.0 via tpm.msc. Could fix this atleast for the day.

If you're happy with 10 and don't need the new look of 11. Stay on 10.

For now, the performance are not that much better and the bugs are very present. But later i'd recommend to update for the better perf.

Gonna be honest. I have not liked Win10 from the beginning. I felt like it was akin to going from XP to Vista - ok, maybe not that bad but still. I'm just worried that going from 10 to 11 will be worse. I am working 10-12 hrs daily, and don't have the time like I used to when I was within the IT industry. I just can't risk switching during the semester, so I will have to do it this upcoming winter break or over the summer. Thanks for you input!

I'm this individual :D Yeah, was in a hurry so i didn't explained any further in the Feedback Hub. It's 22499.

I don't know if there will be a crash soon, but the SCEP is gone in Version Dev (Build 22499.1010). I'll rerun the Task "AikCertEnrollTask" in the Task Scheduler which gave me the SCEP error (just for testing purposes) and for now, even with a manual run, the SCEP error is gone.

i have the same error.

I have no crashes no other problems with it. But it is enough to get me worry that seeing this red error at the every start up.

i have only such a solution; if i reroll back 3601 bios this error not appear on event viewer.

I recommend to check your bios settings, specalized fTPM. As mentioned on Asus' Site:

Version 3702 Supports Win 11 by default

which translates to "enabled TPM2.0 by default" WHICH again results in said error. So, simply disable the fTPM functionality and the error should disappear. This should solve the problem for everyone running Win 10 where the module is not required. Or Win 11 user that bypassed fTPM

Type tpm.msc in search bar and verify that tpm is succesfully disabled, in my case it reenabled itself multiple times. Deleting tpm via windows and bios could work, but its tricky.
