Hi,
We upgraded to the latest office version and now when we open MS Project and try to connect to our online profile, the only option we see is to Disable macros. Earlier we also had Enable Macros as an option. Can you pl let us know what we can do to retrieve that option?
I tried attaching a PNG file and also JPG file of the error message but the upload image function is failing here.

Folks, We found an answer to this by talking to Microsoft. It requires registry update.
Save the below content into a updateMacro.reg file in your desktop. Run this file and it will do the magic of enabling the macros.

It appears Microsoft stepped up to task and released a quick fix to Project. I use the stand alone click-to-run version and just did an update to the latest update: Version 2408 (Build 17928.20114 CTR)
My local Global macros run once again.
The current channel release notes make no mention of an update but then again, the last update to the current channel is dated 8/27/24 so apparently the "news" is not exactly current.
It's been a trying time for a lot of users who count on their Project VBA functionality but I will complement Microsoft on their quick response to this issue. And no, this is not a paid announcement :-)

Great update John. I've searched high and low, but cannot find what they actually did to fix it. But the good news is that it does seem to be fixed. Panic over!
If anyone does find out, I'd be interested to hear.

I suspect that when the update channels are themselves updated, the "news" will be forthcoming. Unless, they are too embarrassed to note it :-)
