How do I stop Teams items appearing in Quick Acess when I am SAVING (using Save As) a Word or Excel document?

Every time I try to use the Save As feature to save a Word or Excel document, Teams channels appear in the Quick Access area. I don't want these items to appear. This just started happening last week. Normally the folders I have added to Quick access show up..

    I have the same question.

    I can see how some organizations are using the files area in Teams, so this would be convenient, but I have staff asking if they have the option to turn it off.

    Plus, Could Microsoft not find some other wording other than Quick Access? That's already used in Office apps. They should have called it Teams Access.

    You can use Ctrl+F12 (Ctrl+Fn+F12 on some computers) to open the legacy Open dialog, or you can add the Open command to the Quick Access Toolbar. You may need to enable the option "Don't show the Backstage when opening or saving files with keyboard shortcuts" at File | Options | Save.

    I agree, this is a totally idiotic update especially when Quick access does not reference any channels/folders/Teams used regularly. Why not allow the Explorer system of pinning folders and deleting quick access links to irrelevant/historic/archival or otherwise unwanted Teams/folders? I'm glad I finally discovered this thread as I've wasted a good hour trying to find out how to fix the problem.

    I have the exact same issue - keep your bloody teams out of my Office; I'll choose if & when.

    I agree David_239. This so called "Quick Access" feature is anything but a "Quick" access and has created productivity loss because of the useability issues it raises.

    @Microsoft this "feature" (1) Violates company's security controls because documents are NOT to be save to Teams or the Cloud (2) enabled with preferences to allow the user to configure it (3) annouced as an optional so companies that have document control policies could properly evaluate and adopt the features.

    Corrective action needs to be taken - hopefully soon.
