Hi,
I updated via "Update Now" in the "File - Account" section a few minutes ago, and Microsoft Office 365 told me it was installing updates.
After it was done, I went back into Access and was still on version "Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2408 Build 16.0.17928.20114) 32-bit". I checked for updates again, and there were no further updates.
Maybe they aren't simultaneously pushing the update to everyone, even though it is September 10th?
Also, the current channel release history (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/current-channel) has not yet mentioned version 17928.20156.
The release notes are usually published several hours to 1 day later than the updates are available.
Did you perhaps change to an older build before and stopped the updates, which was one of the workarounds before the fix came out?
On a side note, when the Office 365 updater was installing, it told me it would shut down all running Office apps. It was taking forever. I opened Task Manager, and I had over 40 Excel.exe processes running (that I didn't know about), and the Office 365 installer took forever to shut all of those down. On my Access app, I do a lot of exporting to Excel, so I guess this problem of the executables not closing also extends to Excel when Access opens it to create a spreadsheet.
That doesn't surprise me because it wasn't just an Access bug but VBA/Office wide.
Perhaps the many open Excel processes prevented the update from being installed correctly. You could try to do a repair for your Office.
