Hi,

I've been working with hundreds of presentations using YouTube videos and had no trouble with ads till now (8/5/24).

I have a Premium YouTube account and have spoken with tech support at YouTube and Microsoft. The problem remains unresolved.

Help!

I also discovered that playing the YouTube before the show/class/service/whatever plays any ads then.

Keeping the PowerPoint open seems to holds that video without ads open in cache.

This has two effects. (1).Your audience doesn't have to watch ads (but you did) and (2) it confuses any testing process as it sometimes plays ads and sometimes doesn't on the same clip.

I was so hopeful your solution (playing the powerpoint presentation before class and then playing it again during class) would work in eliminating youtube ads, but at least in my case, it didn't.

Would welcome hearing from others if it's just me.

Thanks for checking that, Christopher. Another bit of info added to the Collection for the Common Good.

Alyson, I have been doing PowerPoint videos for the last 3 years in our Church. I have never had a pop up ad. Never...

I believe youtube made a deal with Microsoft. This is a new problem. It has not been their policy. That is what utube told me.

    Very frustrated.

One suggestion I received was to download the video to my device, as it's believed that this method won't result in pop-up ads.

I hope this helps; I cant figure out how to download it to my device.

Im working on it. It just downloads on Utube.
