Why are ads suddenly appearing on my YouTube videos?

Sorry. I assumed we were discussing downloaded YouTube videos.

You are telling folks that have been doing this for years how to play a video, that's not the problem. All of a sudden folks that have YouTube Premium are getting ads in PowerPoint, even videos that have been inserted years ago. It just started a few weeks ago, and we have been playing videos for years. Frustrating when we cannot use the clicker the way we have been using it almost forever.

I can insert a view and control the playback but using the Web Video Ad-In doesn't link to the playback function.

If you can make that work, I'd love to see how to do it.

It's fairly easy--once you've inserted a video using the Powerpoint "INSERT VIDEO FROM" tool, all you need to is click on the inserted video (once it's in Powerpoint) and look for PLAYBACK in the toolbar. Click on it and it gives you many options for starting, including AUTOMATICALLY or CLICK or WHEN CLICK ON. Sounds like your best option, which is the default, is CLICK. Surprised it hasn't been working for you.

I tried that and the only problem is I can't seem to figure out to have the video play in "click sequence." That seems to only be a function if you use the "insert video" function. I need the click sequence because I always use a remote clicker to start the videos and move through my slides.

If you have found a way to do that I'd be glad to try it.

I'm back at downloading and playing locally.
