Microsoft Translator Not Translating

Using Translator in a group conversational setting for my ELD (English Language Development) class. Students can join the conversation session, but after the first few words are translated into their chosen language, the transcript stops translating and only shows English/English. I am using Lenovo ThinkPad, students are on Chromebooks.

Additionally, for some reason, when students join the session but have to leave to refresh the page or internet connections, the session still recognizes them as in the session. Still, they cannot rejoin or access the conversation.

We have restarted computer systems, tabs, windows, and the app. We have also started new sessions. The issues began on Thursday, 8/15/24.

Likely all below are like myself. Using the app freestanding on IOS and a Samsung tablet or phone. It translated wonderfully in presenter mode for several years now, but suddenly only gives english for english, or spanish for spanish, or whatever the sending language is chosen to be. NO TRANSLATION is happening. So no, it is not being used within the Teams app.

However, I haven't tested further. You will probably need to check the phone locking and if it's still working. Or changing to not lock the phone at all, but battery consumption will be high due to the display
