Microsoft Translator Not Translating

I have used this app for quite a while, but as of this week (Oct 28 2024)., it has began to act up, and not properly show any translation. It is defaulting all devices to display English. I can start hosting a conversation on an Android device, and if I join on any other language it will show everything in English. When attempting to troubleshoot, even if I speak words into my phone in another language, it will translate those words into English on all devices (I tested with speaking "queso" and "fromage", both of which were displayed on the web interface and mobile interface as cheese as the original text and translated text). Like other educators in this thread, I am using this to ease communication between multiple languages in the classroom and up to this point it has been an amazing tool.

I also do not believe it is an issue with the school network blocking certain URLs the application requires to function; I run into the same issue when running off a personal hotspot as I do using the school connection.

We are still having issues.

Mainly if I end a conversation for one period it takes half the period for the student to join in the next and then the conversation isn't always translated to the selected language (it just shows up in English) and I have to keep ending the conversation and starting a new one.

it is november 10 and it still not translating. i think skype is powered by microsoft translate as well as on video call it translate a little than it stops all together. i reinstalled the app used the web done everything and doesn't work at all

The exact same thing is happening to me. I've been using the app to translate English into French and Spanish. The French still works but Spanish repeats the English. The weird thing is the translation that's supposed to be in Spanish the audio is English with a heavy Spanish accent.

Oh yeah, another thing I noticed is it's only when using a specific network (the only WiFi network I really need it to work on). I was troubleshooting at home and worked fine. I switched to wired LAN in the building and that works. So tried a few cell phone hotspot networks and they all work fine. Of course, I don't have access to the building WiFi to tinker with it. I knew all devices needed to be on the same network to translate, so I think this is real. Maybe, some IP address routing issues, IDK, I'm not the strongest at diagnosing WiFi problems.

Any update about this issue? It's November 17, 2024, and this translation issue still seems to be a problem.

I am assisting a Spanish-speaking church, and I use Microsoft Translator to communicate from English to Spanish, and vice versa. However, now, instead of translating to English, it is only showing everything in Spanish – even though I have my language as English.

Below is an example. It was working great before, but now, is not working at all. I would welcome any advice about addressing and fixing this problem.
