In Excel, how do I remove the Quick Access pane in the File Save interface?

I hate this feature. 😤 I believe the folders that are displaying are folders used by others on my network, because they're certainly not used by me. It's insane that you can't disable this feature. I can't even get my pinned Quick Access folders to show in that section. It should be renamed "Slow Access - Detour Required".

Yes this was helpful, I just added the Save As option to my Quick Access toolbar at the top of the Excel Window and it opens to what I need with out all that Quick Access Teams/Office365/Sharepoint junk. THANK YOU!

Same complaint for me! Need the BROWSE at the top. DO NOT WANT TO SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM FOR MY BROWSE! Quick access options not needed, and I work in too many file locations for this to be helpful. PLEASE ALLOW THIS AS AN OPTION TO DISABLE!

The issue is far more nefarious. Microsoft thinks they have to right to change every aspect of their os to suit their internal idea of what should and should not happen. they operate in a vacuum of internal responses, never truly reading and especially not caring one way or the other, what the actual user thinks.
This is why I only use Micorosft products at work, forced by my work.
Linux is truly the only alternative to user control and customization. Like it or not, microsoft will never capitulate.

A workaround is to get the old-school Save dialog box by adding the "Save as" button to the quick launch bar at the top-left (near the normal "Save" command). Click on the down-arrow near the top-left, click "More Commands", and add "Save As" as shown in the image here. Thanks to my departmental informatics director for pointing this out!
