In Excel, how do I remove the Quick Access pane in the File Save interface?

Annoying !! So frustrating.

As of now, there's no way to remove it. The "workaround" is to add the "Save As" button to your Quick Access toolbar at the top of your screen (or can choose to show below the ribbon).

Click the down arrow on the Quick Access toolbar > then More Commands

Scroll down in the commands menu until you find Save As and click the Add >> button to added it to your Quick Access toolbar (you can add whatever tools you use most here, for quick selection, and order them however you want, via this menu). Click OK.

Use the Save As button in your Quick Access toolbar, when you'd normally click File > Save As > Browse, and you'll no longer have to scroll past all the unnecessary stuff in the File menu.

What is the work around for opening an excel file and avoiding that list of unwanted "quick access" locations and get to the 'browse' option?

I hate this, bc I added "Open" to my Quick Access toolbar, but since it redirects you to the same menu where you have to scroll down past absolutely obsolete folders to get to "Browse", it's frustrating. The only thing it does is save one click in the File > Open step.

What developer thought it was a good idea to move a vital menu to the bottom of a horribly designed feature that evidently doesn't work as intended? I feel like if it worked as intended, you could choose what Quick Access folders are shown, and wouldn't be shown (and have to scroll past to get to Browse) folders that you don't even use that just happen to be on your network...

This new layout is very annoying and inefficient! take it back or make it optional.
