In Excel, how do I remove the Quick Access pane in the File Save interface?

The quick access pane is providing links that I do not have write access to and never save to, and I need the 'Browse' folder option at the bottom, which I now have to use the scroll bar in order to select. This is adding extra steps and reducing efficiency, so I would like to remove the Quick Access pane.

    This is an unwelcome change.

I hope that Microsoft does something about it. This silly new Quick Access offers me to save in Corporate locations that I can't even save in because I don't have access. What use is that?

Thankfully whomever recommended the work around by adding the 'save as' to the top of the page is awesome. That worked for me.

Yes, please allow for disabling this "feature". It's terrible.

Thank you for the suggestion, it did not work for me when I am trying to open a document and it has that long list of 'quick access' in my case Sharepoint sites. Errrr.
