Is Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA) Dead? November 2024. I see its migrated to Get Help.

I can't seem to open it anymore.

It was my very effective tool to troubleshoot Office application problems.

Can you help provide alternatives? and must be a Microsoft product like SaRa.

    I have sent an e-mail to the Office team, trying to find out what has happened with the original SARA application. I will post back with any updates I get.

    Literally ran into this yesterday, and it was not fun. Basically, had to manually delete all of O365 and reinstall

    Something that would have taken a few minutes led to a half hour

    Thanks, MS, for being douchebags and changing things once again for no reason

    Did find some Enterprise command line version, after the fact, but seriously, when is WINDOWS going to be Windows and quit trying to be, MAC, Linux or any other OS?

    I'm afraid that Microsoft developers won't see what you write here. Instead, post feedback in the Office feedback portal. There is no category for install, but you can use the Word category at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/fb6d67e3-301c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472.

    The new get help tool is utterly useless... Please re-instate the SaRa tool...

    I do not think they read the feedback either

    MS is constantly destroying things that worked fine, instead of resolving issues on things that do not

    but hey they look pretty...

    FWIW the feedback hub is not too intuitive, took me too long to figure out actually how to create NEW feedback, YIKES
