Is Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA) Dead? November 2024. I see its migrated to Get Help.

I can't seem to open it anymore.

It was my very effective tool to troubleshoot Office application problems.

Can you help provide alternatives? and must be a Microsoft product like SaRa.

    If you use Windows 11 it should be installed by default.

    If you want to directly start the app then I guess you can start the executable located here:
    C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.GetHelp_10.2409.22951.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\GetHelp.exe

    When started then maybe the (localised) app name will present itself and maybe you can find this app within the start/search menu.

    I agree it's hard to find and even harder when a localised version is to be discovered (like 'Hulp vragen' in Dutch).

    I have to agree with the OP ... I absolutely hate the Get Help app... It does not function anything like SaRA did at all. It was quick and simple for myself and my team to use SaRA for many different things. Get Help is really dumbed down and quite honestly sucks.

    Microsoft please give us the option to continue to use SaRA if we want to!! That tool was sooo much more polished and easier to use.

    It seems that the SARA tool has been replaced with an online troubleshooter. You can send feedback to Microsoft using the feedback portal. There is no specific category for install/uninstall, but you can try the Word category at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/fb6d67e3-301c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472.

    yes this is true.... it doesn't scrub a damn thing now the cmd prompt runs sara but it fails, so any subsequent Office install fails as well and the only remedy is to wipe the device. So sad... this is how they push harder for paid monthly 365 I guess...

    One of the worst decision Microsoft has made. SaRa was one of the useful app. At this moment I have activation problem and GetHelp just telling me ****
