Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA) is Dead? November 2024

Bring back the stand-alone SaRA tool. We need a tool that can scrub-uninstall all past and present versions of Office, for those situations where the leftover crumbs of old installations prevent the Office apps from working right, even after a standard uninstall and reinstall falsely declares success. The online troubleshooters in Get Help are no substitute. They fail to scrub everything and just waste time.

How is anyone LOGGING IN to the Get help app to actually get it to do anything? When opened, it prompts for a log in and ONLY accepts personal accounts. I'm an admin in an Enterprise 365 Tenant. Get Help does not recognize any of our accounts, verified this on multiple machines. So MS discontinued a perfectly working app that DID work for Enterprise, and migrated the functions to an app that Enterprise customers can't even use...

LibreOffice anyone?

Incorrect, as of 4/2025 it has been disabled. Upon launch it checks online then disables itself.

Microsoft hasn't released any updates on the status of the SARA tool, unfortunately.
