Issue with inserting audio files onto powerpoint - please help!

I'm trying to insert an audio file, an M4A file, onto a powerpoint document. The file is 3.51MB large.

I tried to insert a test file, same format, 116KB in size, and it was all fine. However, when I try to insert the actual file, it says:

"Only media in the following formats can be inserted: {0}."

Anyone offer any assistance? I don't understand the issue with formatting, as the test file worked just fine.

    I understand that you are having problems inserting audio files (M4A files) into PowerPoint.

    I noticed that your thread was posted on the Android board, and in the official Microsoft support article it was mentioned that PowerPoint on Android is not supported for M4A format files. PowerPoint on Windows does support M4A files. You try to add your audio files to PowerPoint again on your Windows device to see if you can add them successfully.

    Hello,

    I am currently using windows and I am also getting the "Only media in the following formats can be inserted: {0}." error when I try to insert a M4A audio file. What can I do to add audio?
