I have a document I share using Excel online via onedrive. I update it in on the desktop app and people access it via a link, and view it on the Web version.
Up until yesterday, a viewer would be able to click a cells with a hyperlink to another sheet in the workbook, and it would automatically take them there. Today, every single cell with a hyperlink requests the viewer to 'ctrl and click' to follow the hyperlink.
I have gone though every single option on my desktop Excel app to try and turn off this 'ctrl and click' functuon but I genuinely cannot find anything relevant or that has worked. I have the latest version of Excel for Mac and I haven't changed any settings.
Please, how do I make hyperlinks work automatically again? Thank you!!

I found that hovering over the link pops up the link. Click it and the tab opens as the active tab.
I Found a work around, select Cell / right click mouse / link options /open link
Microsoft apparently made it so this is the way links in the web version of excel work now and there is no fix -- it's a built-in 'feature' ---according to the answer from a Microsoft moderator on the thread I'm linking below:

I've made a Workaround for me using AutoHotkey and the extra programmable mouse buttons i have.
I made it so the custom mouse button works as Ctrl+Shift+Click. Stilll wouldn't mind this being fixed.... Not a lot of people have these custom buttons.
I just tried this without attempting any customizing and it worked. Thanks.
