I have a document I share using Excel online via onedrive. I update it in on the desktop app and people access it via a link, and view it on the Web version.
Up until yesterday, a viewer would be able to click a cells with a hyperlink to another sheet in the workbook, and it would automatically take them there. Today, every single cell with a hyperlink requests the viewer to 'ctrl and click' to follow the hyperlink.
I have gone though every single option on my desktop Excel app to try and turn off this 'ctrl and click' functuon but I genuinely cannot find anything relevant or that has worked. I have the latest version of Excel for Mac and I haven't changed any settings.
Please, how do I make hyperlinks work automatically again? Thank you!!

I found that hovering over the link pops up the link. Click it and the tab opens as the active tab.
I Found a work around, select Cell / right click mouse / link options /open link
I get you now. The previous comments made by you made it seem like the issue was completely solved.
Well, I'm still waiting for the fix to remove the required CTRL+click to open a link. But the CTRL+Shift+click opens the link in a separate tab and makes that tab active. Previously, with CTRL+click the separate tab would open but I'd remain on the tab with the hyperlink. I hope this makes sense.
Its hard to tell what's actually happening right now thats all, given nothing has changed on my end.
