I have a document I share using Excel online via onedrive. I update it in on the desktop app and people access it via a link, and view it on the Web version.
Up until yesterday, a viewer would be able to click a cells with a hyperlink to another sheet in the workbook, and it would automatically take them there. Today, every single cell with a hyperlink requests the viewer to 'ctrl and click' to follow the hyperlink.
I have gone though every single option on my desktop Excel app to try and turn off this 'ctrl and click' functuon but I genuinely cannot find anything relevant or that has worked. I have the latest version of Excel for Mac and I haven't changed any settings.
Please, how do I make hyperlinks work automatically again? Thank you!!

I found that hovering over the link pops up the link. Click it and the tab opens as the active tab.
I Found a work around, select Cell / right click mouse / link options /open link
I hope they find a solution soon, it's frustrating!
Having the same issue which started last week and so is one other in my office at the moment, such an annoying problem to have and we could really use a fix.
I have the same problem but when you have nothing but touchscreen monitors on the production floor it is hard to ctrl tap to get to the document they need. Its frustrating as some work and some don't and I am not sure if it is a permission issue or just how updates are rolled out. Either way, it would be great if I could turn off the ctrl click but since it doesn't allow me to make those changes on M365 excel online it does me no good.
