I have a document I share using Excel online via onedrive. I update it in on the desktop app and people access it via a link, and view it on the Web version.
Up until yesterday, a viewer would be able to click a cells with a hyperlink to another sheet in the workbook, and it would automatically take them there. Today, every single cell with a hyperlink requests the viewer to 'ctrl and click' to follow the hyperlink.
I have gone though every single option on my desktop Excel app to try and turn off this 'ctrl and click' functuon but I genuinely cannot find anything relevant or that has worked. I have the latest version of Excel for Mac and I haven't changed any settings.
Please, how do I make hyperlinks work automatically again? Thank you!!

I found that hovering over the link pops up the link. Click it and the tab opens as the active tab.
I Found a work around, select Cell / right click mouse / link options /open link

I can live with hovering... Also I may now see the point in this change, I often change the URLs in my links, and have actually found it a bit frustrating thet every so often marking a cell would open the link, rather than give the option to edit, I had to mark the cells with the keyboard arrows instead. That "problem" is now solved :)
Same problem in our company. Hyperlinkes in Sharepoint stored Excel files via Chrome require Ctrl press to open.

I just tested it today on Microsoft Teams, and it's working again without CTRL.
Edit:
It seems like it is working on my computer, but it doesn't work on my colleagues' computers.
Maybe I had an update that they didn't have.
I'll come back with more updates.
