I have a document I share using Excel online via onedrive. I update it in on the desktop app and people access it via a link, and view it on the Web version.
Up until yesterday, a viewer would be able to click a cells with a hyperlink to another sheet in the workbook, and it would automatically take them there. Today, every single cell with a hyperlink requests the viewer to 'ctrl and click' to follow the hyperlink.
I have gone though every single option on my desktop Excel app to try and turn off this 'ctrl and click' functuon but I genuinely cannot find anything relevant or that has worked. I have the latest version of Excel for Mac and I haven't changed any settings.
Please, how do I make hyperlinks work automatically again? Thank you!!

I found that hovering over the link pops up the link. Click it and the tab opens as the active tab.
I Found a work around, select Cell / right click mouse / link options /open link

I am experiencing a similar issue when I am using Excel from Microsoft Teams.
On my PC I can open the links on Microsoft Teams only by clicking on them, but when someone else is using the same shared Excel Workbook, they have to use CTRL.
I've checked, and everyone seems to be using the same Microsoft Teams version.

I'm experiencing the same issue, only when using Excel in One Drive on Chrome, when testing in Edge I dont have this problem, but since I only use Chrome, the issue persists.
Did anybody perhaps find a solution to this?
Hi All, update on my earlier comment.
Having experienced the problem on my work account I tried this:
Spreadsheet created on a completely different account and uploaded to the associated Onedrive still works the way we are familiar with.
When I share that file with my work account and view it online, the problem appears.
It feels like Microsoft are rolling out a change which has only reached one of my accounts at this time.
