I have a document I share using Excel online via onedrive. I update it in on the desktop app and people access it via a link, and view it on the Web version.
Up until yesterday, a viewer would be able to click a cells with a hyperlink to another sheet in the workbook, and it would automatically take them there. Today, every single cell with a hyperlink requests the viewer to 'ctrl and click' to follow the hyperlink.
I have gone though every single option on my desktop Excel app to try and turn off this 'ctrl and click' functuon but I genuinely cannot find anything relevant or that has worked. I have the latest version of Excel for Mac and I haven't changed any settings.
Please, how do I make hyperlinks work automatically again? Thank you!!

I found that hovering over the link pops up the link. Click it and the tab opens as the active tab.
I Found a work around, select Cell / right click mouse / link options /open link
Sean, This Seriously poor response, can I ask that you escalate this issue without delay.
At the last count 730 users have raised this issue since April 24.
I look forward to Microsoft responding to this customer complaint in the proper manner.
In the meantime, roll it back while you work on a solution that meets the intended outcome without messing up the customer expectations.
This happened to me this morning. This is ridiculous. Why would MS make this change? There is no valid reason.
Don't just say that, please use your resources to get in contact with someone who CAN fix it. for those of us who use the internet, clicking a link has NEVER involved the use of CTRL+Click. its counterintuitive.
Further... when I CTRL-click, a new tab created, but in the background. When I click a link, I want to see that link. I shouldn't have to click once again to open that link.
