Powerpoint is only showing me older versions of my work

I have been working on a powerpoint for school and saving my work on to the school sharepoint. It had been working well previously, I had been able to open and edit my work in different locations and the file was saving well. However, I opened my file at home this morning and powerpoint is only showing me the first version of my powerpoint (I know I saved later versions). I have checked version history and it is completely blank. I have tried opening it on the desktop app, online and through teams where the powerpoint was uploaded.

I would really appreciate if someone could help me retreive my recent changes as this is a really important powerpoint.

    Dear P McKenzie,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. I am happy to help you

I noticed that you have checked the web and the previous version, but you can't find the data. I would like to confirm if you used the same device when you last edited this file, it is possible that the file was not uploaded to the cloud, so there is no data in the cloud. If that's the case, you can check it now in the device you last edited.

If you confirm that the data has been uploaded to the web client, you can also contact the admin user (the school's IT department) and ask them to contact Microsoft support, who can help you check if the data exists from the backend, and only they have permission to do so: Raise a service request in Microsoft 365 admin center

    Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Tin | Microsoft Community Moderator
