Let's skip back to How to stop Excel from automatically checking Workbook performance? - Microsoft Community
This is about repetitive screen clutter, it doesn't need to be there so let's switch it off. I'll point out that contract worker such as myself have no scope to change the settings of the working models of companies we work at. So on a daily basis we have to clean away screen trash which is electronically generated by a Microsoft product. Screen space is always at a premium.
Now the answers on the above link completely skip around the issue - if anything they misunderstand what the questioner is driving at. As another person irritated by intrusive - let's call it feature creep (harsher words could be used) - I'm bemused that increasing product complexity isn't accompanied by ways to clean things up by eg turning off nags.
The issue hasn't gone away. It isn't solved. And yes - just to be clear - I'm perfectly able to redesign spreadsheets to make them more efficient and limit bloat - and I do this if it's in my remit.
I'm also aware that answers can be phrased to close down issues that aren't going to be fixed.

Please escalate this issue and provide option to disable this feature. There are multiple topics on this issue and all your users are unhappy with this feature. Nobody asked for this feature. It's providing NO value. In fact, it's providing NEGATIVE value.
Please escalate to issue for prompt resolution.
I have already done the same. Hope Microsoft already added it to their schedule.
Dear Snow Lu - please add the option to permanently disable "Slow workbook" pop up notification. This is not up to Microsoft to tell me if I should or should not "optimise" performance.
I too would like to disable this useless message. What a waste of time. This is another example of MS trying to "help users out" and only getting in the way.
Anything it offers to do would destroy the usefulness of the spreadsheet. So, now I endlessly must see this unwanted message. I thought developers involved with MS would have a little more sense.
