I want to disable Excel 365 performance improvement auto-nags

This is about repetitive screen clutter, it doesn't need to be there so let's switch it off. I'll point out that contract worker such as myself have no scope to change the settings of the working models of companies we work at. So on a daily basis we have to clean away screen trash which is electronically generated by a Microsoft product. Screen space is always at a premium.

Now the answers on the above link completely skip around the issue - if anything they misunderstand what the questioner is driving at. As another person irritated by intrusive - let's call it feature creep (harsher words could be used) - I'm bemused that increasing product complexity isn't accompanied by ways to clean things up by eg turning off nags.

The issue hasn't gone away. It isn't solved. And yes - just to be clear - I'm perfectly able to redesign spreadsheets to make them more efficient and limit bloat - and I do this if it's in my remit.

I'm also aware that answers can be phrased to close down issues that aren't going to be fixed.

    Unfortunately, there is no way to disable these notifications. The only way is to dismiss the notifications.

    You may send feedback on Feedback Portal. Hope Product team will add such option in the near future.

    IT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED. Or at least GIVE ME AN OPTION TO RESET THE CLOCK to like 6 months. Microsoft DOES NOT KNOW how I use my Excel or what I want. Get rid of this USELESS option.

    Why is it that every time Microsoft implements their most annoying, nagging features, there's never a way to turn it off?

    I have lost count of the times I've tried to look up how to disable something—this, Copilot, new Bing, various aspects of OneDrive—show up here to find the answer, and read what absolutely has to be Microsoft's scripted answer: "Unfortunately, there is no way to disable...."

    This is not only annoying but it interferes with my work at least a dozen times a day. I have to stop and click the notice closed or it pops up with a green box to draw my attention to it, a box that makes it impossible for me to see the data in the worksheet. I have run the "performance" check repeatedly, only to be told there is nothing that can be optimized. Without a way to disable it, I get frustrated each and every time I open an excel workbook and have lost substantial time "optimizing" sheets to try to make the message go away. Stop putting in functions that you think people will like and that impact their work every time they go into excel without a way to turn them off

    Please escalate this issue and provide option to disable this feature. There are multiple topics on this issue and all your users are unhappy with this feature. Nobody asked for this feature. It's providing NO value. In fact, it's providing NEGATIVE value.

    Please escalate to issue for prompt resolution.
