Hello, What software will people be using and why when Publisher is phased out in October 2026? Thank you.

I know there's InDesign and Canva. Also, will Publisher files be able to be converted ?

Problem is, no one seems to have found another program that opens Publisher files.

I was able to convert a .pub document to a PDF and then open it in Canva. Some pages were fine but many were a total mess, even those with only text. For some reason there were lots of text boxes with only a word or phase in them??? And tables were really a mess. Ugh!

I have sent feedback to both Wordperfect & Affinity that they should consider coming up with a conversion feature from .pub

I agree, Carol, however, I am biding my time. October, 2026 is still quite a long way off. Competition is getting tougher so I shall 'just wait and see'!

Libre Office Draw opens Publisher files and does everything Publisher does! And, it's totally free! Thank you so much for this information!!!
