Hello, What software will people be using and why when Publisher is phased out in October 2026? Thank you.

I know there's InDesign and Canva. Also, will Publisher files be able to be converted ?

Hi, I have a MS publisher 2002 and have just installed it to see what would happen. I have installed it in a new and separate program folder in Program Files (x86)/Office Publisher 2002 that I created. It opens my 365 files, converts to PDF, etc. I registered the program with just the licence details, no name, no email, etc. Files appear to work as normal.

    hope this helps

    Diane

I think I will wait until mid 2026 to possibly getting a stand alone version of Publisher. I wonder is MS might come up with a change of heart, or at least make a special offer of a free or very cheap version of Publisher to 365 account holders.

If you click learn more. It says it won't work after October 2026.

Did you have 365 installed when you installed it? Mine errors immediately when I try to run it don’t get to a point of choosing where to install it.
