Hello, What software will people be using and why when Publisher is phased out in October 2026? Thank you.
I know there's InDesign and Canva. Also, will Publisher files be able to be converted ?

Sorry I don’t get you, 365 would still be installed on the computer I would just be logging in with different credentials?
I'm with you! The suggested alternatives (Word, PowerPoint) are simply no match for Publisher. I'm wondering if you disable updates to Office (File-->Account-->Update Options), then they won't be able to disable Publisher. Microsoft's updates often make things worse (like disabling Publisher), and their so-called support is totally useless.
The older version will have an installation key that needs to be registered with Microsoft. If you sign in with your existing account you'll be directed to 365. Therefore, you need a new and different account. And the two versions should be able to co-exist.
I couldn't agree with you more. I've published a nationwide newsletter for my family assocation for
25 years using Publisher. If they do not have to provide updates, a free standing copy is the answer.
Thanks.
