Hello, What software will people be using and why when Publisher is phased out in October 2026? Thank you.
I know there's InDesign and Canva. Also, will Publisher files be able to be converted ?

Susan, have you tried to open Publisher files on Affinity? If so, how did it work?
Hi, I've been trying the trial version of Affinity Publisher right now. My initial impression is it's way more sophisticated then what I am wanting to replace MS Publisher. If you are into doing a lot of media integration it would be good, you can get it with their photo & designer programs as a package for $170.
I couldn't agree with you more. I've published a nationwide newsletter for my family assocation for
25 years using Publisher. If they do not have to provide updates, a free standing copy is the answer.
Thanks.
The older version will have an installation key that needs to be registered with Microsoft. If you sign in with your existing account you'll be directed to 365. Therefore, you need a new and different account. And the two versions should be able to co-exist.
