Hello, What software will people be using and why when Publisher is phased out in October 2026? Thank you.

I know there's InDesign and Canva. Also, will Publisher files be able to be converted ?

I've used InDesign in the past. It's not very easy to learn, and the program is expensive to purchase. That being said, you can do ANYTHING with it. Looks like I'm going to have to return to it to replace Publisher.

With only about 18 months remaining, companies are under pressure to find replacements for software that's been a core part of operations for over 30 years. We’re asking Microsoft to provide a real update soon!! Loyal users need to understand what modern solution is planned and how it will be supported moving forward!

How are we supposed to transfer tons of files to Word? It's not a matter of copy and paste.

I'm also a church secretary and Bible class teacher. I've never found anything to compare with Publisher!!!! I've been trying to use Word as a replacement and Word continually freezes. I read where you can replace with Perpetual Publisher but I've not found it anywhere. I've been so upset over this!!! It makes me hate the power and control Microsoft has over us.
