Hello, What software will people be using and why when Publisher is phased out in October 2026? Thank you.
I know there's InDesign and Canva. Also, will Publisher files be able to be converted ?

Extremely frustrated that MS is planning on removing publisher. It is one of the main reasons I pay my yearly subscription. Converting my files and re-formating them as a 1-person business is a nightmare. Please reconsider.
What a ***** decision! Another reason to move away from Microsoft products.
Will the other programs like Word be able to open my current Publisher files so I can continue to update and utilize them?
Hi David, I also have been using and owned Publisher for my Notecards and art business for many years. I have almost 500 files completed or in the works. The other options MS is suggesting - Word etc do not do what I need them to do. Publisher has been wonderful but I just read on the MS site that once the cut off of 2026 arrives we cannot create new publisher files even if we own a stand alone copy. Do you know if that is true?

I just came across Affinity Publisher and will check out their free trial.
I always have the pdf's which should be able to be converted into editable copies with some software.
