Hello, What software will people be using and why when Publisher is phased out in October 2026? Thank you.

I know there's InDesign and Canva. Also, will Publisher files be able to be converted ?

Publisher is easy to use and versatile. I use it to create newsletters, posters, and scrapbooks.

    Please don't discontinue it!!!!!!!!!

Publisher 97 is too old to open the post-2018 files. A perpetual version is one with a lifetime license. Try to get Office 2019. There are a number of vendors online.

Try Libre Draw. I can open and edit my files, and it's free.

It hasn't worked for me. I loaded MS Publisher 97 OK and it looks as though I could create new files with it, but when I try to open my existing Publisher files with it (which were all made after 2018), it says it can't be done because they were created with a Publisher version different from Publisher 97. Money down the drain. Was I wrong to think Publisher 97 was a Perpetual version? What is a Perpetual version? Where do I get one?
