Cannot start a conversation on my iPad and cannot join a conversation

I can start a conversation on my iPhone, but not on my iPad. Both versions of the app is the same. When I start a conversation on my phone and try to join on the iPads it says "Conversation XXXX could not be found. Please verify that this code is valid and try again." 'Nearby Session' is turned on, so it's picking up the code through the bluetooth.

    Hi Vineetha,

Thanks for posting in the community. We are happy to help you.

According to your description, I suggest you check the following points, and then check again.

    1. Since the conversation on your iPhone is the hoster, please make sure you didn't switch the Translator app on your iPhone.
    2. According to the article, Please make sure the host of the conversation (iPhone) didn't lock new participants from joining.

    1. Please start a new conversation, manually enter the five-letter code on your iPad, and then check again.
    2. Please make sure your iPad connects a good internet. You can turn on the personal hotspot on your iPhone, and have your iPad connect the hotspot. After that, please check again.

If the above points don't help, I suggest you start a new conversation on your iPad and check if you can join it on your iPhone.

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    George | Microsoft Community Moderator
