How to expose submitter information in Lists + new forms experience?

Hello!

I've created a new list and launched the new forms experience. When I preview the form, it says the list owner (me) will be able to see the name and email of the submitter. I fill out the form and submit it, but when I go back to look at my list, I don't see any information about the submitter, nor any way to expose it through adding columns.

In the past, I have accomplished this from Forms with a flow that would populate a SP list, selecting submitter email as a field there.

I'd prefer to keep everything in Lists and not have to pipe anything through another flow or Power Apps form.

I'm probably overlooking something really obvious, but I'm not able to find an answer online.

Thanks!

Hello,

If you select Add Column>Show or hide columns> then mark the created and created by options it will show in your list who submitted the form and when.

Best!

Thank you for the response! "Created by" was what I needed. In the list, I hit "Add column," and then "Show or hide columns," and ticked the box for "Created by."

To answer your other questions for others who might stumble on this:

    1. I created the list in Microsoft Lists, but also added it to a SP site.
    2. I did not use a template - I started with a blank list.
    3. I hit the Forms button in the toolbar across the top of the Microsoft Lists page for the list.

    Dear User,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

I understand your concern and to my knowledge, Lists in the SharePoint Online will have a default column called Created By where it will display the name of the user who created the item in the List. However, based on your description, I believe you are using the different experience of the List in the SharePoint Online and I would like to confirm the following information will help us to better understand and guide you in the right direction:

    1. Screenshot of the UI of the Form when you create a new item in the List.
    2. Name of the template used to create the List in the SharePoint Online site.
    3. Please provide the detailed steps you have take to “launch the new forms experience”.
    4. Screenshot of the item in the List after creating a new item in the List.

Our sincere apologies for not resolving the problem is first reply but answers to above queries will help us to better understand your situation and guide you in the right direction.

Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia
