OneNote fingerprint unlock is not working

When setting up a protected section on Onenote on my samsung fold6 it I enable the box that says use fingerprint next time but when I go to unlock it again it asks for the password again with the use fingerprint box still enabled. It never lets me use my fingerprint to unlock the sections. Anyone know a fix for this?

2025-04-01T14:20:53+00:00 This has been a problem for me since August of 2024. Just this week, the problem went away. Very happy. What ever was wrong got fixed without need any special effort on my part.
