OneNote fingerprint unlock is not working

When setting up a protected section on Onenote on my samsung fold6 it I enable the box that says use fingerprint next time but when I go to unlock it again it asks for the password again with the use fingerprint box still enabled. It never lets me use my fingerprint to unlock the sections. Anyone know a fix for this?

2024-11-03T18:51:45+00:00 I'm having the same issue with my Pixel 9 Pro XL. It is no longer working. It was working fine on my Pixel 7 Pro before I got the new phone. I'm not downloading and installing stuff from unknown sources. If Microsoft doesn't fix this soon, I'll simply look for an alternative solution.

It has been driving me nuts since they 've made it not working or whatever they did...
It's sad to see the Microsoft support. People say they can't duplicate it when all of us have had problems for weeks or months.... So sad

2024-10-19T14:29:59+00:00 I had the same issue. I posted also on this and I believe there are several posts which Microsoft completely ignore.
It's clearly a problem with the version in Google Play - so Microsoft, it's a simple fix, why you ignore so many users.
Until Microsoft decides to address the issue and respect us, if you still want to use this product, the solution is what others said - install an older version of apk. What worked for me was to use the app from Samsung's Galaxy Store ; it worked even after upgrading the app afterwards from Play Store.
However, because of Microsoft 's attitude to ignore so many users, I switched to Samsung Notes, which have the same functionalities, works flawless and looks a lot better on Amdroid.

2024-10-19T14:06:56+00:00 In my case, it is a new phone. Fingertips unlock worked on my previous phone. However, fingerprint unlock works to unlock the phone, just not with onenote.
I un-installed and reinstalled the app with no chance. I'm about to uninstall the entire suite O-365 and reinstalled it. I use one drive so I'm cover with backup.
