When setting up a protected section on Onenote on my samsung fold6 it I enable the box that says use fingerprint next time but when I go to unlock it again it asks for the password again with the use fingerprint box still enabled. It never lets me use my fingerprint to unlock the sections. Anyone know a fix for this?

This has been a problem for me since August of 2024. Just this week, the problem went away. Very happy. What ever was wrong got fixed without need any special effort on my part.

Microsoft must have made some fix/update because, after all these months, it now suddenly started working.
Slowly but surely, it now worked.
At least for me, now.
