To further clarify the issue. I know the original post is referring to Mac users, but this is also happening on Windows 11. I am the owner of some shared files and I am able to edit and save files to the shared folder as usual on my PC. However, the people I am sharing the folder with can no longer edit the files in the shared folder (even though they have the permission to view & edit.)
Instead of the normal shared folders on their PC, the folders are now "shortcuts" to a URL folder which takes them online to the shared folder on onedrive.com in their browser.
They also cannot edit anything in the shared folder or save to the shared folder on onedrive.com.
We have uninstalled and reinstalled one drive a couple of times now and nothing is working.
We also unlinked and relinked to the PC. We actually tried to unlink and relink / install to an entirely new PC and it is still not working.
I don't understand how this has not been resolved yet. We rely heavily on one drive shared files for our business and personal accounts. I am considering moving to Dropbox since the level of response on this the past THREE days is minimal. It is hard to get in contact with anyone regarding this issue or when it will be fixed.
Since Microsoft has everyone's email, why not send out an email to everyone with a onedrive making them aware of the issues and a timeline for a resolution.
