Watermark Error 400

This problem has been reported to Microsoft. The latest word from my Word contact is:

The bug we have tracking this is still open and the crew is investigating. We’re unable to repro internally, so the team is trying to gather more information. I was able to reproduce the issue shortly after it was reported, but it resolved itself on my end. 

If you’re able to collect information from users, the crew is looking to confirm if the issue occurs with all these entry points: 

• Ribbon > Insert > Pictures > Online Pictures.
• Ribbon > Home > Paragraph > Bullet Library > Define New Bullet > Picture > Bing Image Search
• Ribbon > Design > Watermark > Custom Watermark > Picture Watermark > Select Picture

If one of these gives the HTTP error, do the other scenarios listed here work?

Thank you Mr. Blom for your kind response and input. I do hope MS will resolve this issue with the watermark issue soon. Some of us do use this application often.

I believe this is a known issue with watermarks at the moment.

However, you may be able to insert an image (or text box) manually by anchoring it to the page header. Change the image transparency to make it more "washed out." It will then be the same as something that you added via the Watermark facility. See also http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/AnchorToHeader.htm.

with my own computer? How can I go about to fix this problem?

I use Watermark often for graphics. I would like to use the application again.

Do you think uninstalling and reinstalling Microsoft word 365 will help to solve the issue?

I have cleared the cookies from Google Chrome.

Hi I am experiencing the same issue with Watermark on Word. Same error message too. I also clear all cookies as well. Is there a fix? I know I can insert an image but I use Watermark all the time for graphics
